The age old debate on who would win in a fight -- the Avengers or the Justice League.  I think we can all agree that Marvel takes the lead when it comes to the fight at the box office...hey, at least Wonder Woman did well...

But what about in an all out battle super hero vs super hero?  I'm no expert, but here's my best guess.

Batman vs. Iron Man

It only makes sense to pit these two against each other.  Both have similar alter egos with their billionaire, philanthropist selves, and would probably butt heads if put in a room together anyway, so them fighting wouldn't be a big stretch of the imagination.  Against many of the other members of the Avengers, Batman might have a decent chance with his (overly) extensive martial arts knowledge and all his tech, but the Iron Man suit has him outmatched.  The Super Hero Database shows Iron Man at a strength level of 200+ tons!  That, on top of his energy blasts could be enough on its own to take down Batman.

Then if you add on all his defensive qualities, from super speed, flight, oh and a little something called accelerated healing, it would be hard for Batman to even get a hit in.  If Batman had time to prep before the battle, maybe he could pull it off, but that would also give Iron Man time to do the same.

Superman vs. Thor

The battle of the Gods...actually, is Superman really considered a God?  Let me know.

This is a fight you would want to sell tickets to.  Both are equally matched with super strength, speed, and durability.  The amount of powers these two have is ridiculous; super breath, enhanced senses, magic...It would go on for a while with one taking the lead for a bit until the other hits them with something unexpected.

Personally, I think Thor could win this one...or maybe I just want him to.  He doesn't exactly have a weakness, does he?  Superman has his whole Kryptonite thing, so if Thor somehow got his hands on some of that, it would be game over.  Since Superman does have a little more in the superpower area, and Kryptonite probably isn't something Thor carries around in his pocket, fight would be close and could go either way.

Justice League vs. Avengers

If we are strictly talking full out group brawl though, consensus online always seems to end with the Justice League on top.  They just have more overall power when you consider two members of the Avengers are just "ordinary" people who are really good at fighting.  Could you really see Black Widow or Hawkeye beating Wonder Woman?  I don't think so.

What pairings would you want to see fight it out?  And who do you think would win if both groups went head to head?
