The 1990's Are Coming
Posted by Allison Cianci on 23rd Nov 2016
90's kid nostalgia is so strong that the shows from our childhood some of which were actually on during the 2000's are being rebooted left and right. We've already seen Disney Channel's Girl Meets World and Netflix's Fuller House (a little bit older than 90's but I'm counting it). Since they are doing so well, we are going to keep getting more, so hopefully you're excited.
I saw someone wearing a Blue Barracudas t-shirt recently and everyone around knew exactly what it was from. First of all, jealous! Second, that proves people's love for this 90's game show is still going strong. We all not so secretly disappointed we didn't get a chance on the show.
Lucky for us, they announced a while back Nickelodeon was making a Legends of the Hidden Temple movie--premiering this weekend on the 26th. Like Girl Meets World, it looks like it is still geared towards the younger demographic and not the people who watched the original show. So if you're feeling a little nostalgic this Thanksgiving weekend, you now know what you'll be watching. Let me know in the comments if you watch it and what you thought.
For this one, I don't care if it's still geared towards kids, I will be watching the new Hey Arnold movie because I need to know what happened to his parents!!! There isn't too much information on Hey Arnold: The Jungle Movie yet, but we do know it's going to be two hours long and is set to premiere sometime in 2017. Can't wait :D
In my school, this show was so popular that my third grade teacher gave us an actual assignment around it. Now, this one isn't technically confirmed, but it sounds like a TV movie is in the works. The creator has been messing with fans on Twitter and Tumblr over the past few days. Keep your fingers crossed.
With little more information than Invader Zim, we know Rocko's Modern Life will be coming back with a one hour TV special at some point in the near future on Nick. Can't remember where the show ended back in 1996? Sounds like there is plenty of time to catch up on the episodes before then.
Nickelodeon isn't the only one working on bringing old shows back, Raven Symone announced she was leaving The View to star in a That's So Raven spin-off. The show will bring back Raven Baxter who is a single mom raising her two kids, one of which inherited her psychic abilities.
Which are you most excited to watch? What show do they still need to bring back?
