Between regular TV, Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon, each year brings way too many new shows for any person to keep up with.  But don't worry, I'm here to tell you the best so you know which ones to start binging on first.  Disclaimer, there are still a bunch that I've been meaning to get to myself so I guess technically they could be better than the ones on this list.  Probably not though.

I resisted giving this Netflix show a try at first and only gave in after multiple people came up to me asking if I'd watched it yet.  Then I may have gone through the whole season in a weekend.  But we've all been there, right?

Basically it's a dramady based on the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling, which was a real wrestling show/event in the 80's.  Everything about this show was incredibly well done from the writing to the wardrobe.  Each character is funny and has a unique back story.  You've probably never even thought about getting into wrestling, but after watching this first season, you'll be left wanting so much more!

If you haven't already seen Big Little Lies you either a) aren't into that kind of thing or b) don't have HBO because this show was EVERYWHERE.  In case you actually haven't heard, it's a must watch if you like mysteries because this one will leave you guessing until the end.  And it's got an amazing cast!  He isn't in it as much as I'd hoped, but Alexander Skarsgard...and Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, and Shailene Woodley.

The second season has just been made official, so get on it before you fall even further behind.

I just realized, Claws is the only show on my list that is from regular cable.  I guess TV really has to step it up in 2018.  Anyway, airing on TNT, Claws is probably the best show about a nail salon you'll ever watch.  It's got drug trades, the Dixie Mafia, murder, and some killer looking nails.

Each episode is going to make you want to watch the next to see how the mess the main character Desna is going to sort itself out.  While it was originally planned to be a comedy--and yes it has its funny moments--the drama is where it shines.

Another Netflix original and another crime drama.  Either 2017 has a pattern or I just like to watch dark shows...maybe both?

In Ozark, Jason Bateman takes a step back from doing comedies to play a money laundering financial advisor for a huge drug cartel.  When his job doesn't all go to plan, he's forced to move his family to the Ozarks to launder even more money or die.  It has twists and turns that will make any thriller lover happy.

Yeah, yeah another crime drama from Netflix, but this one takes place in Canada in the 1800's!  Alias Grace took me a little longer than the other shows to get into for some reason.  I think you really have to be paying attention and can't just be watched in the background while you're doing other things.  The story is about a murderess convicted of killing two people.  

Told through mostly flashbacks, you get to learn the story as she tells it to a psychiatrist there to determine whether or not she should be pardoned due to insanity.
